Salvator Venezuela, 2012.

On February 2012, Venezuelan reggae singer OneChot suffered a point-blank gun shot to his head after being mugged in a residential area of Caracas.

Salvator Venezuela was inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci's Salvator Mundi restored in 2011. The orb as a Christian symbol depicted in a Salvator Mundi painting was made with the singer's dreadlocks, which were collected and safeguarded by his mother, moments before cleaning personnel at the emergency room were about to dispose of them.

Years before he was shot, his song Rotten Town was censored by the Venezuelan government. The lyrics precisely denounce Venezuela's high level of violence and crime.

OneChot has shown a remarkable rehabilitation and is singing again.
